For more than 20 years, the Semiconductor/Metal Contacts Group has been active in the field of contacting materials for advanced semiconductors. The research is situated within the continuing trend towards miniaturization in micro-electronics and photonics, for which novel materials and new deposition techniques are required, like functional metal coatings on nanoparticles.
